Residential Demolition – North Rocks, NSW 2151
Part of Sydney’s north-west, North Rocks is a suburb on the rise. Located 26 kilometres from the CBD, the area is an in-demand suburban haven.
North Rocks is generally a place where families put down roots. A majority of houses are owned or on a mortgage, with only 14% of dwellings being rented.
This is also reflected in the types of dwellings available in the suburb. Detached houses dominate, comprising just over 90% of the suburb’s available housing.
North Rocks is set to become an even more desirable place to live thanks to $2.5 million in funding from the state government’s Stronger Communities Fund. This funding will be used to upgrade parks and build play grounds and cycleways, as well as a variety of other community programs.
The construction of new houses in the suburb is quite common place and on the street of this demolition there were two active construction sites as well as a few houses that were recently constructed!
The house set for demolition was an asbestos clad fibro home. Stripped of its tiles and asbestos fibre boards, the house was a mere shadow of its former self. It took just over 20 minutes for our excavator to turn the skeletal structure into a huge pile of rubble!
