Residential Demolition – Five Dock, NSW, 2046

The inner west suburb of Five dock, much like it’s surrounding suburbs of Burwood Drummoyne and Haberfield has a strong demographic of Italian immigrants combined with a rich history of early settlers making for some interesting combinations of federation style homes extended with large concreted areas, lot’s of intricate brick work and usually large backyards exclusively decorated with fruiting trees. Five Dock is named after the farm that originally covered the entirety of the peninsula west of the city on the southern shore of the Parramatta River.

The name is derived from five rocky inlets, or docks that were located within the bay, though were lost during the 1962 construction of the Gladesville Bridge. As with many inner Sydney suburbs, Five Dock is becoming an ever popular area for development and construction as local land prices skyrocket.
